Scene Texture Update

After failing a lot of times in the environment texture, I decided to try a different idea. I changed the lighting from day to night, so the reflected light on the ground would create a better effect. This week, I reworked the textures and lighting, and also change the environment layout. I think I'm on the right way now, though I still need to add some details.
Semester Reflection:
At the beginning of this semester, I focused on improving the character models. I made three versions and created nine characters in total, and I’m satisfied with the final result. Then, while working on the 3D animatic, I began focusing on the environment. I made two versions: the first was more of a small town, and the second felt more like a big city. I meet a lot of issues with textures and lighting—textures is my weak point—but in the end, the night version helped mask my texture weaknesses. I’m happy with the result now and feel like I’m walking on the right direction. Through the workshops, I received a lot of useful feedback. For the animatic, I should look for a reference chase scene in films to adjust the camera work and add more close-up facial expressions. I plan to use the vacation to improve both the environment and the animatic shots.
